A routine calls another routine and violates its precondition.  The
routine's rescue clause calls another routine to display the exception
status and this routine calls a third routine.  If this last routine
also has a non-empty rescue clause, then execution terminates with a
run-time panic while trying to display the meaning of `exception'.
