Servlet API

The Servlet API provides a Java Servlet compatible API for programming
servlet applications in Eiffel. This library contains classes compatible with
the servlet API. It does not provide a complete working implementation. See
the fcgi/servlet library for an implementation.
Usage
-----
The GOA_SERVLET class and its descendant GOA_HTTP_SERVLET provide the central
functionality of a servlet application. Each servlet you need to implement
should implement one of these classes.
If you are developing an application for the internet you will typically
inherit from GOA_HTTP_SERVLET and redefine one or more of the 'do_' routines,
such as, 'do_get' or 'do_post'. Each of these routines is passed an instance
of GOA_HTTP_SERVLET_REQUEST and GOA_HTTP_SERVLET_RESPONSE that
represent the initiating request and the response to send back.
For example, a basic servlet that responds with a simple HTML page could
be coded as follows:

MY_SERVLET will respond with a simple HTML page with a title and short
message, "This is a test". The servlet framework will send the appropriate
HTTP headers for the response when it is sent back to the client.
